TV & FILM

In my humble opinion, one of the best shows of the last 20 years was the 2004 reboot of Battlestar Gallactica. The show about a tiny group of humans who survived an attack by an evil race of robots called Cylons trying to find a new home really resonated with audiences. Even people who weren't really into sci-fi liked it. I remember watching the original Battlestar series from the 70's in reruns with my grandfather and thinking it was pretty badass as a kid. I even liked that Caprica prequel TV show that only lasted a season. So you can imagine my joy at hearing that Universal is in development of a Battlestar Gallactica movie. A Battlestar movie has been in development hell for years, with Bryan Singer at one time connected. No word on who is going to make it.
We also don't know if it is going to have the characters from the 2004 series or if it will be completely new characters. Personally I think making a movie about the first Cylon war would be pretty amazing. As long as Tricia Helfer comes back as Caprica 6, I'll be happy.
