Travis Scott went from Kanye West underling to being the sperm donor of a woman worth a billion dollars. All while releasing some of the most forgettable music in history. And now, according to Nick Canon, Travis has returned back to the teachings of his mentor. Canon claims Travis Scott “isn’t for the culture.” Which is code for Scott doesn’t care about black people. Just like Kanye after his unholy union with a Kardashian. Allegedly, Travis lost his black card after agreeing to perform at the Super Bowl. Which makes no sense. Unless, by Nick’s logic, means every black person, including the concession stand cashiers, security, fans and players, are Uncle Toms for being in attendance.

Nick Cannon isn’t too pleased with Travis Scott’s decision to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl.

“I’m team [Colin] Kaepernick all day,” Cannon shared with Raquel Harper of BET’s “Raq Rants.” “To me, I call it cultural equity. So we’re not mad at Big Boi for being on the Super Bowl. He’s for the people. But someone like Travis Scott, he’s got to walk gingerly.”

Then Cannon, 38, made it clear that Scott must prove he’s “for the people.”

“It’s more about truly having integrity to who you are in your music, your art form, the people you choose to interact with, the people you choose to procreate with.”

Cannon said Scott’s decision to have a baby with Kylie Jenner “wasn’t for the culture.” The couple share 11-month-old daughter Stormi Webster.

If the basis of his argument is the women Travis dates, then we can easily argue that Nick isn’t “for the culture” either after he put a ring on Tommy Mottola’s left overs. After reaching a certain tax bracket, the only color most people see is green. I doubt anyone genuinely cares that Travis is performing at the Super Bowl. Nick is most likely jealous no one asked him to perform his “Gigolo” single.
