New ‘The Hobbit’ Clip Offers the World’s First Look at Smaug the Dragon (VIDEO)

We're less then ten days from the premiere of The Hobbit and things are heating up. If you read J.R.R. Tolkien's literary masterpiece that Peter Jackson is basing his new trilogy on, then you'll know that Smaug the Dragon is the main antagonist of the story.

Smaug's appearance is one mystery that this newest Hobbit clip unveils, as we're treated to our first look at the mighty dragon. It's a brief preview, but it's enough to show everyone just what he can do at the very least.
