As a refresher, let me bring you up to speed on the state of Henry Cavill's mustache. Justice League reshoots happened last summer while production on Mission: Impossible—Fallout was halted due to Tom Cruise getting injured on set. Cavill's character in the film is sporting a mustache, which posed a problem for Justice League because Paramount refused to let him shave the mustache as he wouldn't have time to regrow the 'stache before shooting resumed.
This meant that Cavill's mustache had to be digitally removed from Justice League, quickly becoming the most distracting thing in a film full of utter nonsense and bad special effects. The joke of all this is that production of M:I—Fallout didn't resume until late November, after Justice League hit theaters, meaning that Cavill totally could've shaved and grown back that mustache in time. But now we're left with Annoying Orange Superman for the rest of time, all because of Mission: Impossible—Fallout.
Was it worth it? Who knows for sure, but the answer's got to be no. There's no way it was worth it to tank Justice League for the sixth Mission: Impossible movie, but never underestimate how petty studio heads can be when it comes to stuff like this. Check out Cavill's mustache in the new trailer above. It'll only make you depressed. Mission: Impossible—Fallout hits theaters on July 27.
