The Godzilla reboot directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson isn't set to be released until May 2014. However, it's never too early to start trying to create some buzz on the old interwebz—or at least that's the theory Legendary Pictures is working with. You see, the film is currently shooting in Canada, and every once in a while they like to release a photo from the set and act like it's part of some big mystery. For example, the latest one is the photo you see above. Legendary put that up an Facebook this week with the following caption:
What's behind the radioactive containment doors?
Um, I don't know, guys. Something radioactive? Like, maybe some kind of secret radioactive experiment that goes horribly wrong and winds up creating a horrible sea monster that wreaks havoc wherever it goes? Something like that? Because, yeah, we already kind of know that is what Godzilla is about. It's not Cloverfield.
But hey, I could be wrong. Maybe they'll really throw us all for a loop, and it'll be Godzilla himself (is Godzilla a boy? That seems like a sexist assumption) behind that door. It still doesn't really matter, because we already know the big secret behind this monster movie that's been made about 10 times. And, more importantly, we're all pretty excited to see it already.
