There's no doubt we'e all excited about the Ghostbusters reboot. After years of speculation about possible sequels, prequels, and reboots, one starring Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and (apparently) Chris Hemsworth is finally starting production. And it's probably going to be pretty great.
That said, our excitement about a new Ghostbusters pales in comparison to our lust for even the slightest morsel of information about the new Star Wars. If somebody broke wind on the set of The Force Awakens, it was trending on Twitter without the hour.
So do I expect you to be as pumped about this first look at the new Ghostbusters costumes and proton packs as you would be about the first images of the Millennium Falcon? No. Do I expect you to be mildly amused? I do.
So here, take a look:
The uniforms are a different color, but they're still basically just jumpsuits with the Ghostbusters logo on the sleeve. But the proton packs? Now those are different. As you can see, they have a home-made vibe to them that just might answer the age-old question, where the hell did the Ghostbusters get their industrial grade ghostbusting gear?
Ghostbusters (2016) hits theaters July 22, 2016.
