He was masterful as Hawkeye in The Avengers and now Jeremy Renner is back as Aaron Cross, who is the male lead in the fourth movie of the Bourne film franchise, The Bourne Legacy.
As we mentioned a month ago when the international trailer for the action thriller was released, this will be the first Bourne movie without Matt Damon, who headlined as Jason Bourne, ever making an appearance.
Critics scoffed at the idea of someone taking on the lead in this fourth installment, but this newly-released full trailer will prove their assumptions wrong as Renner kicks into high gear as Cross.
The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films.
The Bourne Legacy hits theaters on August 3rd and stars Renner with Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Albert Finney, and Joan Allen.
