When last we heard from David Ayer, he was telling off Marvel while claiming that the mess of a movie that is Suicide Squad was his intended vision all along. Well, next he's helming Netflix's first real plunge into big budget filmmaking with Bright, a fantasy buddy cop action comedy with Will Smith as a person and Joel Edgerton as a goblin.
This new featurette has the cast—including Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, and Big Willie Style himself—as well as creative team singing the praises of Netflix's risk taking. Look, the simple truth is that Netflix doesn't have to report statistics of any kind, so they can come out and say it was the biggest hit in history, despite you not knowing a single person who has watched it. Case in point, they recently listed Ashton Kutcher's The Ranch as one of the top three shows in the company's history. Do any of you know a soul who has seen even a minute of that show? Give me a break.
Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for all sorts of antics and fantasy gobbledygook in this new featurette, there's lots of stuff to see because that's what makes a movie good, apparently. Having lots of crap to look at all in the frame at once. We'll see a new trailer one week from today, so... hooray?
