Remember Voltron, that cartoon series from the 80s about a bunch of lion-shaped spaceships that join together to form a giant sword-wielding space robot who protects the universe from evil space villains? The entire concept made absolutely no sense, of course. But really, most things from your childhood made no sense. The important thing was that Voltron made sick toys.
Anyway, I bring Voltron up because it's coming back! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has expanded its existing distribution deal with DreamWorks Animation, picking up rights to a number of new shows. And one of them is an animated reboot of Voltron, which supposedly will debut some time in 2016.
Is that the best news you've heard all day? Unless your sister had a baby, or your doctor just told you that mole on your back in benign, probably, yes. I know I, for one, will be going over to my mom's this weekend to see if my old Voltron toys survived the Great Attic Purge of '06.
