The NCAA Final Four kicks off tomorrow in New Orleans with the marquee matchup of Kentucky and Louisville at 6pm eastern time. You wouldn't know it, but yes, there is another game with Ohio State and Kansas 30 minutes after the first game ends.
All the hype this week has been about the 'Civil War' or uncivil war, depending on who you ask. Of course Kentucky and Louisville is the most talked about of the two games. You have the in-state rivalry. You have former Kentucky coach Rick Pitino now coaching Louisville. It's going to be a great game...or is it? Kentucky is currently an 8.5 point favorite. I don't think it will be that close. Kentucky is too deep and too strong. Kentucky by thirteen.
Ohio State and Kansas is a much more evenly matched game. Right now, Vegas has Ohio State as a 2.5 point favorite. Ohio State has Jared Sullinger clogging up the middle and scoring, but Kansas has the Big 12 player of the year, Thomas Robinson. This should be a well played, physical game, with two great coaches trying to outwit each other. Ohio State by four.
The championship game will be a surprise. The emotional drain on Kentucky from all the Louisville hype, and how hard they will have played on Saturday will take a lot out of them. Ohio State will pull off the upset and win by three.
