The Miami Heat came out guns blazing in game one of the NBA Finals, but just like they had shown in the Western Conference Finals, the Thunder wouldn't get rattled by a first half deficit.

Thunder 105 - Heat 94

Miami blasted out of the blocks last night, knocking down shots left and right and raining threes in the first quarter, led by Shane Battier's hot hand. But shooting lights out like that never lasts for an entire game and the Thunder were able to adjust to make sure it didn't.

Though he only shot 10-24, Russell Westbrook was blowing past anyone who tried to guard him last night, opening up opportunities for his teammates, especially Kevin Durant. Durant and Westbrook combined for 41 points in the decisive second half, one more than the Heat team combined.

The Heat didn't have any answers for OKC's big two in the second half, and they need to figure something out quick to avoid going down 2-0 before heading to South Beach for three straight.

OKC got a huge contribution from Nick Collison off the bench, who led the Thunder with 10 boards and chipped in 8 points.

Dwyane Wade scored 19 and 8 assists, yet seemed off his game. He needs to come up bigger than that and be more of a presence for Miami. LeBron had a Finals career high of 30 points, but was a non-factor for the first 7 minutes of the fourth quarter.
