The Home Run Derby is an awesome showcase of pure power. We already told you that Prince Fielder won it for the second time in his career last night.

The fans who packed Kauffman stadium were definitely treated to a great show. The TV viewers were as taken care of as well, even though there were two distinct camps about the ESPN broadcast having Chris Berman doing his 'back back back' thing. The pro-Berman people, and the anti-Berman people. There were also the very anti-Berman people.

In the end, though, it's all about the guys on the field and how many balls they could launch into the stands. The Home Run Derby is becoming one of the better All-Star events of all the sports. What's better than watching guys mash dingers 450 feet? Not much when it comes to these exhibitions.
