Michael Keaton Was Born to be ‘Birdman’ (Probably)

The teaser trailer for Birdman is here, and it's, without a doubt, the best looking Michael Keaton film in a long time. That's not saying much, all things considered. But still, the guy played Batman and Mr. Mom, plus he used to work for Mr. Rogers. He deserves some damn respect, and it's good to see him doing well.

Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, the film is a black comedy (think Happiness, not Soul Plane) about a down-on-his luck actor who is trying to make a comeback via a Broadway play. Like Keaton himself, the film's protagonist is most famous for playing an iconic superhero (Birdman, obviously). He must battle his own demons and family issues in order to fight his way back to the top.

The film costars Emma Stone, Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Amy Ryan and Naomi Watts, and hits theaters on October 17th.
