Once Wonder Woman hits theaters this weekend, the next major comic book movie on the summer release schedule is the hugely anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming. One of the biggest draws for geeks such as myself is going to be seeing Michael Keaton's villainous turn as Adrian Toomes, aka The Vulture. Those of us who grew up with Keaton as Batman are going nuts over the notion of Keaton returning to the comic book movie world, and he looks as though he's more than up to the task.
The clip above shows Keaton's Toomes alongside Bookeem Woodbine's Shocker, Michael Chernus' The Tinkerer, and Logan Marshall-Green's not yet identified fourth villain plotting to keep some stolen tech for themselves. It's followed by an extended trailer for the film that shows off some new footage not seen in the other trailers, while still managing to not really tell us much of anything about the plot.
Below you can find an interview that Keaton did with Ellen DeGeneres about his role in the film, and it's honestly always great to hear Keaton just shoot the breeze. I can't tell you how happy I am for his recent career resurgence that started with his brilliant supporting turn in The Other Guys. A Hollywood with Keaton in it is infinitely better than one without! Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7.
