Tammy is having a very bad day. In a matter of hours, she's lost her job, her car, and (thanks to her cheating husband) her marriage. So she does what any rational person would do in a similar situation: She robs a hamburger joint. She then decides to get out of dodge with the only person she knows with access to both money and a car: her grandmother.
That's the gist of Tammy, the new road-trip comedy from Warner Bros. Melissa McCarthy stars as the titular Tammy, along with Susan Sarandon, Mark Duplass, Kathy Bates and Dan Aykroyd. The film was written by McCarthy and her husband Ben Falcone, who also directed the film. And regardless of what the finished product looks like, I can't wait to see Rex Reed's review.
Tammy hits theaters July 2nd, 2014. (Source)
