GAMING

That's ‘officially' in the sense that somebody on them thar interwebs claims so. But still, you don't argue with the internet. It's not like anybody can just spout their own unique brand of horseshit as merrily as they like, without verifying anything first.
That, sir, wouldn't do at all.
But to business. The developers describe Broforce as "...a ridiculously violent platform game about being awesome action heroes from the 80s and 90s while slaying satanic terrorists and aliens while unraveling an evil plot to destroy the planet while dealing with being awesome action heroes from the 80s and 90s." (-steamcommunity) Instantly, we're all kinds of sold, but there's more.
It's a retro-tacular scrolling shooter, akin to Contra, Gunstar Heroes and the like (with a charmingly pixel-y aesthetic, like it's running on a Tamagotchi or something). In this case, though, we take up the stubbly mantle of Rambro, BA Broracus, Robrocop and Indiana Brones --among others-- and shoot everything ever. Twice. It's a little like a tiny, lumpen the Expendables, with less balding and/or middle-aged sagging.
Broforce masculined its way past Steam Greenlight's prerequisite voting business, and is on its way to a PC near you. Take a look at this humorous homage to our favorite action movies above.
