Medal of Honor: Warfighter doesn't hit until October which means there's still plenty of time for you to pre-order the Limited Edition which gets you into the Battlefield 4 Beta. Record scratch. Wha-What? Who even cares about the stuff included in the Limited Edition (Tac-3000 sniper rifle and the NAVY SEAL Sniper) when in one shot Electronic Arts is telling us that A) there's a Battlefield 4 coming and B) you can sign up to access the Beta period of BF4 beginning right about now.

Stunning considering we still have several more months of Battlefield 3 premium content on the way including new weapons, maps and modes.

Will all of that new stuff be enough to hold off our excitement about the potential of a new Battlefield game? A better question might be: on which consoles might we be getting Battlefield 4? Getting folks registered for a Beta in July 2012 suggests that said Beta is less than 18 months away, at most. And since a game's Beta period for real world testing and gameplay tweaks can be six to ninth months before an expected launch, we've got a timetable that already puts Battlefield 4 into a late 2013 to mid- 2014 launch window. PS3 and Xbox 360 should be afterthoughts by then.

All of this time travel is making me dizzy. Just watch the video and get excited.
