Matt Forte has been in contract limbo hell for a while now, wanting to paid what he felt he was worth for running the ball for the Chicago Bears. With today being the last day to negotiate long-term deals with guys who got slapped with the franchise tag, the Bears and Forte have finally figured it out.
Forte and 'Da Bears have reportedly agreed to a 4-year deal worth around $32 million. Basically the two sides met in the middle because Forte had been looking for around $9 million per, and the Bears wanted to pay him $7 milly per.
Hopefully both sides will be happy now. Forte has been pretty much a beast his whole career. He missed four games last year and still racked up 997 rushing yards and caught 52 balls for nearly 500 yards. The previous three years, he went over 1,000 rushing twice and had 929 in the other.
