Weren't we supposed to have time machines by now!? It seemed like Dr. Emmet Brown had struck gold back in 1985 with his patented DeLorean that could fly through time!? Why can't someone clever just copy the scientific formula behind the flux capacitor!? Surely Bob Zemeckis would give it up for the right price!?

What's with all the time-travelling questions and exclamation marks all of a sudden? Well, you see Lawless just looks so immense that it's given me a hankering to experience 1920s life as a gangster. I know I'll probably be out of my depth but the guns, broads and money make it look so appealing! Who cares about the depression!? 

But with Lawless due to be released on August 31st and there being no time machine in sight, I'll guess I'll just have to wait for Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf's crime epic to blast its way into cinemas, and watch these other period gangster classics to appease my thirst for blood and violence.
