TV & FILM

It must be hard to be a TV executive that has to come up with new reality shows. Everything has already been done it seems. Child pageants, jousting, the Kardashians, everything. But what if I told you that Destination America is going to broadcast a real life exorcism for Halloween? It's all going to go down on October 30th in the house where Ronald Doe was exorcised in 1949, the event that inspired The Exorcist book and movie. There is no word yet on who is being exorcised and who is doing the exorcising. I assume it is an old priest and a young priest. I think that's what is required by the Catholic Church. Though somehow I doubt that the big C Church would agree to do an exorcism on TV. Maybe I'm wrong. Pope Francis is pretty media savvy.
I don't know how to feel about this. Though I generally think that exorcisms are BS, there is still a lingering doubt from growing up in Catholic school that it is all very real. I'm going to watch it and probably be scared witless.
