Lindsay Lohan: Wonder Woman?

I am at war with myself. My brain is having trouble processing the thought of Lindsay Lohan as Wonder Woman. Yes, you read correctly, Lindsay Lohan wants to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming film being written and directed by Joss Whedon, of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reports The Sun.

Wonder Woman would be cool.

I'm trying to find roles right now that are different to anything I've done to show my abilities, to show that I have some sort of stretch in me.

Because most of the things that I've done so far are aimed at younger girls and are light-hearted.

So the problem in my head is that yeah, Lindsay Lohan is hot (or used to be), and she could look amazing in that whole Wonder Woman outfit, and she has a rather cartoon-like face, but I know she doesn't have the acting chops to pull off the part. Also, Wonder Woman shouldn't look like you could snap her in half like a twig.

Warner Brothers probably loves hearing this news, but I'm sure that Joss Whedon will do the right thing. Oh god please let Joss Whedon do the right thing.

Here are some pictures of Lindsay Lohan in the most Wonder Woman-ish look I could find. More pictures after the jump.

Update: Thanks to Ryan for sending in the great rendering of Lindsay Lohan as Wonder Woman shown above. I was gonna do one, but now I don't have to. Sweet.

Updated Update: In light of my chastisement of other news sources for their innacurate reporting, I thought I'd do my due dilligence, and follow up on this story. It has come to my attention that The Sun didn't really do a very good job of reporting the news.

In their article, they claimed Lindsay Lohan was "desperate" to play Wonder Woman. But after just a few seconds of Googling, I found the original interview from which those quotes were pulled. She was talking to ComingSoon.net last June while promoting Herbie: Fully Loaded, and the question was asked directly "You've done a lot of different roles; have you ever thought of doing a sci-fi or fantasy, Wonder Woman-type role?"

Yeah, not quite the desperate declaration that The Sun would have us believe, nor the most news-worthy... However, in her original interview Lindsay did reveal that she has talked been in talks about playing the part, saying "I actually met with someone there at one point."
