While you're watching the new trailer for Liam Neeson's latest flick, The Commuter, you may find yourself overwhelmed by a profound sense of deja vu. That's because Neeson has made this movie at least three times already, and it's usually directed by this same guy, Jaume Collet-Serra

In The Commuter, you see, Neeson plays a guy who has taken the same morning train commute every day for ten years. He is then tasked by a mysterious woman (Vera Farmiga) to find the person on the train who "doesn't belong," and he'll be handsomely rewarded. The consequences of not playing or not finding the person, however, are deadly. Yadda yadda, usual Liam Neeson horse hockey.

I honestly don't get it. Neeson, like Denzel Washington, will turn up and actually act in a movie every now and again, but mostly spends his time making variations of the same movie with the same director over and over again. I imagine it would take something drastic, like people not showing up to see this godforsaken movies anymore, to get them to stop. That's not likely anytime soon, though. The Commuter opens in theaters on January 12, where it will have to compete with a bunch of prestigious Oscar movies and Star Wars. You're better off just renting Non-Stop, it's kinda the same movie, just on a plane.

Also, check out the Liam Neeson movie idea formula below...

Someone’s trying to (set me up) (kill me) (kill my family)

But I’m stuck (on a plane) (on a train) (in an elevator)

And I am racing against time to (clear my name) (save the plane) (save my family)
