In the 90's Nickelodeon had several bizarre game shows but none compared to Legends of the Hidden Temple. Kids ran an obstacle course while answering questions from some historical artifact. The show was made to look like what the set designers of an Indiana Jones movie would make a Mayan Temple look like. There was also a giant talking stone head named Olmec that asked questions and narrated the whole thing. It was a goofy, fun show that ran its course and was cancelled in 1998. But, because we live in the age of the remake, Nickelodeon is bringing it back not as as a game show but as a feature length movie. Needless to say it looks dumb. How could it not be? If there has never been a good movie made of a video game how could there possibly be a good movie based on a game show? What's next? Double Dare the movie? It's impossible.

So, put on your Pokemon sweatpants and flannels because we are going back to the 90's in a bad way.
