Lana Del Rey And Azealia Banks Argued

It’s full speed ahead towards 2019. Humanity has made leaps and bounds when it comes to advancement. We may not have the futuristic flying cars that every sci-fi movie 40 years ago promised just yet, but Uber Eats is in the testing stages of delivering more unnecessary calories to your door with a drone. Gotta crawl before you walk. Even with so many breakthroughs, there are still some things in this world, no matter how heavily researched, that seem absolutely impossible to fully eradicate. Things like the common cold, cancer, HIV, and Azealia Banks. The last one being the most menacing. Banks chose a new person to bother this week as pestering Elon Musk and his very peculiar looking love interest became old. Lana Del Rey is in Azealia’s crosshairs, but the only woman whose drowse inducing music that can put you in a more melancholy mood than Adele isn’t going down without a fight.

Lana Del Rey had a pretty brutal exchange of hostile tweets with rapper Azealia Banks for all of the Twittersphere to see.Banks had criticised Del Rey for a comment she left on Kanye West's Instagram, condemning West for his pro-Trump views.

"To me this just looks like the typical white woman [...] using a weakened target to 'pretend' to be an ally," Banks wrote in response.

Banks followed up with a long thread condemning Del Rey for her "selective outrage."

More than a week later, Del Rey has responded to Banks' critique with a fairly threatening tweet.But she didn't stop there. Del Rey continued to post a series of dramatic tweets directed at Banks. "I won't not fuck you the fuck up," she wrote. "Period."

After that, things got really offensive. Banks took to making a long series of derogatory comments about Del Rey's appearance, after declaring that she felt "powerful."

"We need her to call the surgeon who did her pointy Michael Jackson nose," Banks wrote.

Del Rey responded with a jab at Banks' mental health.

"Your psych meds aren’t working," Del Rey wrote, followed by the hastag #uneedanewcocktail.

It’s never good to advocate violence, but if this kerfuffle came down to a bare knuckle brawl between the two my money is on Lana. Only because the black and inherent victim card often gets declined when you’re being repeatedly punched in the face. In the words of one of the wisest anthropophagi in history with a distinct appetite for ear, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.” Banks is about as tough as her keyboard allows her be. She should be more about peace, love, and flashing her followers on Snapchat. It’s much safer than threatening the human Jigglypuff who puts more humans to sleep against their will than Bill Cosby with a full case of chloroform.
