At 8:46 AM on 9/11, almost every news outlet and morning show in the country takes a minute of silence in remembrance of the tragedy of September 11th, 2001. NBC's Today Show however, thought it would probably be best to stay on an interview with Kardashian matriarch Kriss Jenner, who was engaged in a very didactic, pedantic conversation about why she had her breast implants replaced.

Why the network thought a 56-year old woman--famous for nothing but the daughters she spat out of herself--gabbing about her fake breasts was more important than a single minute of silence no one can seem to answer. Social media lit up with complaints, slamming both NBC and The Today Show for their stunning lack of sense in continuing with the interview.

Is this the worst on-air blunder though? Network execs, producers and talent have made some pretty shoddy mistakes over the years. Check out the gallery for a few others that compare with Jenner's 9/11 breast implant tale.
