2015's Kingsman: The Secret Service was a surprise hit, becoming one of the true word of mouth blockbusters of the last few years. We knew there was a sequel due out this year, but up until this week, we had no idea when it was coming. Now we've got a release date and a trailer and it's all too much to handle.
First things first, the film is due out on September 22, two months after Spider-Man: Homecoming and a month and a half before Thor: Ragnarok. Why mention those films? Because, believe it or not, these movies are based on a 2012 comic book series titled "The Secret Service" by Mark Millar (Kick-Ass) and Dave Gibbons (Watchmen), so these are technically comic book movies.
Lots of interesting stuff to see in the trailer, especially the villainous Julianne Moore, and Halle Berry, and of course the gorgeous Poppy Delevingne, who's stripping down to some sexy red lingerie. It's a long, long wait until September, but something tells me it's gonna be worth the wait. Director Matthew Vaughn is back behind the camera and this trailer looks appropriately awesome...
