Louis C.K. is the master of surprise. If he’s feeling frisky, he’ll pull his dick out unannounced. If he’s feeling funny, he’ll show up to a comedy club unannounced. Both unnecessary and upsetting if you ask Kathy Griffin. Louie was booked and preformed a set at the Comedy Cellar in New York on Sunday. He feels that enough time has passed since his near career-death experience with Me Too that people have either forgiven him, or completely forgot exactly what he did. A new guy gets exposed every week and it’s not like anyone is officially keeping record. But if there’s one person that wants the world to never forget the mishaps of lurk and jerk Louie, it’s Kathy. She’s comparing her mistake to C.K.’s, claiming the world is willing to look the other way because he’s a man.
Kathy Griffin slammed Louis C.K. on Twitter after the disgraced comic performed unannounced at New York’s Comedy Cellar on Sunday, writing, “Gosh, does it payoff to be in the boys club..the white boys club.”
On Tuesday, Griffin posted a thread on Twitter about her aversion to the news that Louis C.K., who previously admitted to sexual misconduct against a number of female comedians, had performed an unsolicited 15-minute set.
Griffin added that if this is how we are making people pay “penance in the
#MeToo era,” it’s “fucking pathetic.”
Everyone’s entitled to a silly opinion, but his worst joke is better than her best by far. And if we’re honestly on the topic of individuals who participate in acts without other’s consent, lets talk about how Kathy felt it was okay to assault everyone’s eyes by wearing a bikini on social media without warning. The hypocrite deserves to be buried in a barrage of He Too hashtags from every man who had to endure such a sight until she gets the point that what she did is not okay.
A) You know how many talented women and POC comics are knocking on doors trying to get some time in front of audiences or powerful people in this business? And Louis just gets to glide back in on his own terms? Gosh, does it payoff to be in the boys club..the white boys club https://t.co/hewlglA2a7

B) I'm so used to the boys club in comedy things like this don't shock me...but that doesn't mean situations like this don't make me angry and frustrated for the people who have struggled to be heard and seen in a business that appreciate diversity.

Will take heat for this, but people have to be allowed to serve their time and move on with their lives. I don't know if it's been long enough, or his career will recover, or if people will have him back, but I'm happy to see him try. https://t.co/QmqdGJnIjy
