Andy Dick in ginger drag is making a comeback now that she feels all of her transgressions have been forgiven and forgotten. If Kathy Griffin wanted to publicly attack President Trump it would have helped to be slightly more attractive. Just look at Stormy Daniel’s situation. The bustier you are the better. You can’t posses the same body as the Boy with the Striped Pajamas and expect America to sympathize with your Al-Qaeda inspired brand of comedy. Griffin only labeled it an accident after no one was laughing. Then becoming unapologetic afterward was the icing on the cake for a nation to never forgive her treason. But after touring 23 cities in 15 countries outside of the U.S. she’s gained enough courage to book two shows on her home soil again.
Griffin announced on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” on Friday night that she had just booked upcoming shows at New York’s Carnegie Hall and at Washington’s Kennedy Center — “Trump’s backyard,” she called it.
Unable to tour in the United States, Griffin went overseas... but because she was under investigation in the United States, she was “detained at every single airport,” she said.
Maher told the audience that “she is a good American who loves her country and should be able to work in it.”
I’d become fed up too going to comedy clubs in cities where the two drink minimum can also come with a two year prison sentence courtesy of Sharia Law. It’s also pretty hard to deliver the punchlines of any joke when loud unruly Uber and Lyft ride share camels are most likely permitted to be parked inside the establishment. I doubt Griffin will be able to sell out the two venues she’s headlining but it’s a start.
