There are some guys that seem to have better luck not just on certain tracks, but in certain races. For Kasey Kahne it is the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Coco Cola 600.
Kahne took over the lead from Denny Hamlin Sunday night with about 68 laps to go in NASCAR's longest race of the season. From there on out the winner was obvious with Kahne dominating the race. Kahne ended up crossing the finish line a good four seconds on second place finisher Hamlin and 11 seconds on Kyle Busch.
The win is No 13 of Kahne's career and the third time that he has won the Coco Cola 600. It's also his first win for his new team, Hendrick Motorsports, and the 201st win for team owner Rick Hendrick.
The following were the top 10 finishers on the day:
1. Kasey Kahne (5) 2. Denny Hamlin (11) 3. Kyle Busch (18) 4. Greg Biffle (16) 5. Brad Keselowski (2) 6. Dale Earnhardt Jr. (88) 7. Jeff Gordon (24) 8. Kevin Harvick (29) 9. Carl Edwards (99) 10. Matt Kenseth (17)
