CELEBRITY

Houston has a whole lot of problems. Not the Apollo 13 kind, the my car is now a submarine kind. Hurricane Harvey is not only focusing on causing damage in H Town, but managed to get preacher Joel Osteen dragged on social media, a University of Tampa sociology professor fired, and Trump flamed for treating his appearance there like a 2018 presidential election rally. It has even invigorated celebrities to take up on their favorite past time, publicly announcing their donation payments for the newly poor due to the storm. Yep, wholehearted donation. You didn't publicly announce that number loud enough for the IRS to hear and a tax write off this year.
Sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell us Kim, Kris, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie and Kourtney gave $500,000 to The Red Cross and The Salvation Army Tuesday. We're told the money will be wired and will be split evenly. The donation is one of a number made by celebs since Kevin Hart started a movement Monday challenging other Hollywood heavyweights to pitch in.
I now see why regular people treat celebrities like gods every now and then. A man of god and pastor, Joel Osteen couldn't deliver and his job is delivering God's message to the people. He literally owns a basketball stadium sized church. The old Houston Rockets stadium to be exact. That still didn't stop him from closing the doors to a Houston in need of help. He only reopened them after internet outrage culture got on his ass. To think the tax free men of god would be the most selfish people around is amazing. Thank god Kim stepped in. Kim Kardashian has pledged to donate prayer and $500,000. Which basically means she'll be purchasing one less exorbitantly overpriced designer blouse the next time she goes shopping on Rodeo Drive.
