Lukewarm beer, as we've said time and time again, is no good. I'd like to think the reason ice was invented is so that we could all enjoy beer ice cold, just the way it was meant to be. But when times are tough and ice cubes are a rare commodity (hey, it could happen), it's nice to know that you can turn to Mother Nature's frigidness and your trusty old garden hose.
It sounds like an odd combination, but you'll just have to see it to believe it.
It turns out that some dude left his garden hose out in the freezing cold overnight. He was greeted with a pleasant (or is it unpleasant?) surprise the morning after when he turned on the water and got cylinders upon cylinders of ice.
Well, it sure beats having to use snow as ice. (Don't say you never tried it, because there's got to be a time you were desperate for ice in the dead of Winter. Don't deny it!)
