Two weekends ago, an adorable clip of Chris Pratt playing with baby Raptors leaked online with the promise of an official trailer for the upcoming sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on Thursday November 30. That day came and went with no trailer, but then Universal announced on Monday that we would indeed be getting a trailer for the film this Thursday, December 7. True to their word, they released this three minute behind the scenes featurette with the promise of a full trailer for the film tomorrow.
Of course, the most exciting thing for fans of the original Jurassic Park is the return of Jeff Goldblum's Ian Malcolm. While I really intensely disliked Jurassic World, I must admit that bringing Goldblum back was a stroke of casting genius because now I want to see the sequel.
The other draw for me here is director J.A. Bayona, who directed the absolutely amazing films The Impossible and A Monster Calls, as well as the legitimately scary Spanish-language flick The Orphanage. With him at the helm rather than Colin Trevorrow, and Goldblum back in front of the cameras, I'll definitely check this one out. We'll be back again tomorrow with the trailer, but Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters on June 22, 2018.
