Nope, didn't see this one coming. Jason Kidd, who was reportedly set to stay in Dallas for three more years, has now decided to head to New York and play for the Knicks. The deal is supposed to be about the same he was close to taking in Dallas; three-years and about $9 million.
According to ESPN.com, Kidd liked the idea of mentoring Jeremy Lin. I would think this would push Lin to sign with Houston after all. Kidd is probably going to want to start, Lin is going to want to start, and both will play less than they want.
This is kind of bizarre, but I guess we'll find out soon enough what Lin ultimately decides to do.
