Jared Sullinger, the big man who helped Ohio State reach this year's Final Four, has been medically flagged by NBA doctors because of his back and it may hurt his draft prospects. According to ESPN.com, doctors for some teams have advised against drafting Sullinger over fears that his career could be shortened by the issues raised after Sullinger was evaluated at the NBA Draft Combine.
Sullinger's father spoke to ESPN's Andy Katz yesterday and said the issues are minor and are related to Jared's flexibility.
He had a bulging area that was due to his hamstring and quads being so tight. It pulled on his hip flexor and he's been taking care of it to loosen it. You can call it a red flag if you want. But it's tight hamstring and tight quads.
The NBA Draft takes place June 28th.
