Jared Leto’s Joker In Suicide Squad Is Frightening (VIDEO

We're all excited for the release of Suicide Squad in the hope, possibly in vain, that it will be a good DC movie. So far it looks like it is going to be pretty great and not just because of Margot Robbie in short shorts. One of the standout performances is rumored to be Jared Leto, Jordan Catalano himself, as the Joker. We all know that Joker is perhaps the most frightening film and literary villain of all time. A homicidal, psychotic clown? What could be worse than that? We've seen him played with campy effectiveness by Cesar Romero, scene chewing bravado by Jack Nicholson, and scary method by Heath Ledger. But Jared Leto is playing some kind of unhinged hipster Joker that looks truly terrifying. Or maybe it will just come off as dumb. Who knows?

In this ad, Joker is featured. We'll have to wait and see if his performance comes off as effective or just annoying. It could go either way.
