Hold on to your hats, nerds. The rumors were true. Wonder Woman is finally coming to the big screen in Batman vs. Superman. Warner Brothers and Zack Snyder have made it official, announcing that Gal Gadot—veteran of three Fast & Furious pictures—has snagged the coveted role.
Of course, we've been suspecting for months that WB was going to introduce the Amazonian princess in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, given that it would be absolutely insane for them not to develop a Justice League movie. Then there were rumors that they had Wonder Woman narrowed down to three women—and one of them was Gadot.
Obviously, we don't know just what role Gadot's Wonder Woman is going to play in Batman vs. Superman. They've already got enough on their plate with the introduction of Batman (and making sure Ben Affleck doesn't suck). Expecting them to flesh out all the details about Diana Prince might be hoping for too much.
Here's what we do know, however: Gal Gadot certainly is easy on the eyes. So aesthetically, anyway, she's going to be terrific.
