Love him or hate him, the world watches when Tiger Woods takes the green, especially during events like the U.S. Open. They all watch for the same reason--to see if the Tiger of Old shows up. Half want to see him regain his former glory, but the other half want to revel in his failure.
After winning at Memorial a couple weeks ago the world is eager to see if Tiger can keep the momentum going when the U.S. Open gets started Thursday. However, the dreaded injury bug may be biting him again.
While taking some practice swings at the range on Tuesday he stops mid-swing when he was distracted by a camera shutter, but appears to tweak his back at the same time. The commentators said he just needed a few minutes to stretch his back out, but with the way injuries have nagged Tiger for the last couple seasons it would not be shocking if this ended up affecting his game.
