Is This What An Obi Wan Kenobi Movie Would Look Like?

Most fan made films are terrible but occasionally a good one comes along. This imagined trailer for one of the upcoming stand-alone Star Wars films envisions a film featuring Obi Wan Kenobi. It would look at his years hanging out in the desert watching Luke Skywalker from afar. Lest we forget Obi Wan spent 20 some years doing just that. What amuses me about this video is that the editor, Rich Williamson, splices most of it from an Ewan MacGregor movie called which I watched last week. It tells the story of another holy man hanging out in the desert: Jesus. To see Jesus running into the Force ghost of Qui-Gon Jinn makes me chuckle a little. I'm not sure if Star Wars fanboys are ready for a pensive meditation on spirituality and solitude that this movie implies. But you never know. 

The truth is that other than the Han Solo stand alone movie, we don't really know what the others are going to be. So maybe it will be like a Jesus movie about a Jedi.
