Stephen King adaptations are more prevalent in Hollywood than people who've had their car struck by Amanda Bynes. Which is why it should come as no surprise that his 2009 opus 'Under the Dome' is making its way to the small screen. Steven Spielberg is leaving Lincoln behind and moving on to co-produce a 13-episode half-season series for CBS written by Lost scribe Brian K. Vaughan based on King's opus for next season.
UNDER THE DOME is the story of a small New England town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town's inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away.
The last few King adaptations have been iffy at best (Did anyone make it through Bag of Bones without needing a bag of paper to throw up in?), so will Under the Dome be one of the stinkers or one of the greats? Check out the gallery to see the 10 Best Stephen Adaptations.
