If People Can Surf on the Streets of NYC, Can’t the Beach Boys Just Get Along? (VIDEO)

So this is actually pretty cool. I guess as some sort of viral marketing campaign to promote the new Gerard Butler film Chasing Mavericks (You remember Gerard Butler, don't you? He was that guy who was awesome in 300 and then made about three dozen movies no one went to see), a couple of surfers took to the streets of Manhattan in some wheel-outfitted surfboards and went gliding down Park Avenue, catching some sick waves.

Now, as someone who lived in NYC, there's nothing I hate more than publicity stunts in the street (I'm looking at Puerto Rican Day Parade). It clogs up traffic and makes it harder for me to walk downtown feeling self-important by the fact that I live in New York and you don't. Having said that, I think even someone as cynical as I would've turned their heads to see someone surfing across cement in the City that Never Sleeps.
