CELEBRITY
Lex Jurgen - October 11, 2017
For those who couldn't look past the mounting sexual harassment and assault claims in Harvey Weinstein's wiki page, you may have missed info on him being married to a much younger British model turned fashion designer, Georgina Chapman. She bore him two children to add to the three from the first marriage he consummated pre fame and fortune. Like any good ballplayer, he traded up once he struck contract millions.
Outside of the fact Weinstein was making every chick he met with sad eyes watch him shower or masturbate, his marriage to Georgina Chapman seemed perfect. She's hot, for one. Check that off the list. Like most hot women, her hobby was style and fashion. Weinstein was able to get her investors for a clothing line and then ensure her gowns were worn by A-list celebrities to the big Hollywood events. You can't get that from a man not your father unless you're fucking him. Or allowing him to fuck over other women and keeping mum yourself.
After the New York Times article broke revealing what everybody already knew or was pretending not to know about Weinstein, Chapman seemed to be standing by her man. Or at least long enough to consult with her attorney vis-a-vis settlements post-ditching. Obviously, she's reassured to some financial level as yesterday she turned in her walking papers, along with a statement to People magazine pretending to have been in the dark:
"My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”
I'll give her this. As far as the tons of enablers attempting now to distance themselves from this fat pig, hers has been the briefest statement. Also, she didn't blame Trump. You should be so lucky as to divorce your husband in People magazine one day.
Naturally, the actions of the husband reflect poorly on the wife, especially the trophy wife. Not like you were a misguided innocent who married the captain of the football team only to learn of his skeletons. By the mid 2000's, Weinstein's skeletons were out there. Not to mention he's nothing close to captain of the football team. You took the money and hoped nobody would find out all that you knew.
Chapman will be fine. She's got cash, she's early 40's, and has amazing genes. If she donates to the right causes, she'll be accepted back into the sisterhood of victims herself. Her husband not so much. One his ability to provide favors goes away, the Hollywood establishment who covered his ass for years will call a Code Red and he'll be found in a ditch, before he can rat out the others. A 300-pound Silkwood.
