GAMING

More than most other gaming genres, the FPS is known for taking itself far too damn seriously. If you’ve got some experience with playing shooters online, you’ve probably seen the sort of thing: furious cussing and death threats down the mic, hate mail, people’s precious-ass K/Ds being a life or death matter… it can get pretty freaking heavy around here.
That’s not all there is to it, true enough, but I’ve always thought that the genre’s at its best when it’s embracing the crazy. Think something like Gotham City Imposters a few years back, or the Timesplitters series. With all of that said, then, you can guess how much I appreciate the return of Clogged Toilet mode.
Yes indeed. Halo’s Forge mode gives players the power to make themselves all kinds of custom maps and game types. Some of them catch on, and become pretty big deals in their own right. One of these, as I say, sees you and your compadres inside a gigantic toilet bowl, blasting at the other team –whose Spartans are apparently zombie turds-- who are marauding up the pipe at you.
Clogged Toilet has been a thing since Halo 3. It returned for Reach and Halo 4, and now it’s hit Halo 5: Guardians. If you fancy jumping into the shitstorm (that was intentional) armed only with an unlimited ammo shotgun and two grenades, check out the mode in action below.
