Apparently back in 1999 Halle Berry starred in a movie based on the life of Dorothy Dandridge, an American actress who in 1955 was also the first African-American film star to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress.
I guess this is either a movie that I'm (finally) too young to remember, or this was just a movie that a lot of us never heard of for some reason. Either way, Halle Berry starred in it and is throwing it back to 1999 this week with some polaroids she shared during a fitting in her dressing room while on set of the film.
Halle let her fans know that at the time, a lot of the clothing she was trying on actually belonged to Dorothy and also fit her like a glove. There are some Dorothy Dandridge Halle Berry reincarnation conspiracies around but I'm not going to dig any deeper. Here are the pics!
"Every piece of Dorothy Dandridge’s clothing given to me by her manager Earl Mills fit me perfectly!"
