We've got some sad news to report. No, not more details about Batman VS Superman.
Legendary voiceover man Hal Douglas passed away last week at the age of 89. Apparently, "in a world" where pancreatic cancer kills millions, one man could not turn the tide.
Forrest Gump, Water World, Philadelphia, Con Air, and Men in Black are just a few of the trailers to which Douglas lent his distinctive voice. Along with fellow voiceover artist Don LaFontaine (who passed away in 2008), he helped convince a generation of moviegoers that paying money for a ticket and then being forced to watch ads for other movies was not only acceptable, but fun.
R.I.P. He will be missed.
