GAMING
bill-swift - February 20, 2014
Well, kinda sorta. Enough to make us raise our meaty fists and shake them menacingly at the ceiling, at any rate.
You're surely familiar with Flappy Bird, and the pestilent phenomenon it has become. On Twitter, even news of Justin freakin' Bieber's latest feat of dumbassery took a backseat to the game. Highscores were screenshotted, shared and paraded about the Interwebs, regardless of how few shits were given about them (and no shits were given about them).
The creator himself removed the game from the app store last week, ‘because it's become an "addictive product,"'IGN reports. But birdmania continues to endure. Since then, iPhones have surfaced on eBay priced at many thousands of dollars, owing to the fact that Flappy Bird is installed. To make matters even more crazy-ass, a Fall Out Boy-themed homage to the late ‘Bird has arisen.
Now, when Fall Out Bird is an actual real thing that has happened, it's probably time to flip the game the bird for good. But nuts to that. Instead, let's recreate the whole damn game on the PS Vita, via LittleBig Planet Vita. Nice job, Internet.
