A man in China found a 19in earthworm in his backyard. Think about that. Most earthworms are 11mm. Scientists have no idea how this abomination grew so large. My first reaction to this video was, "ARGGGGGHHHHH!!!!". My second was excitement. Why? I am a gigantic nerd, as you guys may have noticed. I've been a huge fan of Frank Herbert's Dune series since I was in the 7th grade. I even like the trippy David Lynch movie version. In Dune, the Fremen on Arrakis ride around on enormous sandworms. I have always been sad that this is impossible. But this worm gives me hope that if China keeps pumping God knows what into their environment and worms keep growing my tween fantasy might come true. Perhaps I will be the kwisatz haderach and ride Shai-Hulud to master the  houses of the Lansraad. If you understood that last sentence, congratulations. You are a huge dork.
