Are you a Jedi? Do you want to get married? Well, head up to Scotland, young padawan! The country of kilts and haggis is considering a measure to make Jedi weddings legal. Yes. See, they have a measure in their marriage laws that allow for "belief-based groups" to wed. The Jedi Church is pretty big in Great Britain and it is even a common response on census forms. While I guess in theory this is fine, I do have a couple of quibbles. Firstly, aren't Jedi supposed to be celibate? The only Jedi I know of that got married was Anakin Skywalker and we all know how that turned out. Luke gets married in the expanded universe, but that doesn't really count. Also why do they need to be legally married anyway? If they live in a fantasy world in which they live in a galaxy far, far away what do they care if they get a marriage tax break? You can't have your fishsticks and blue milk and eat it too, guys.
