Talk about a plot twist no one saw coming, except maybe the scammer! A 53 year old French woman thought she was living the dream, caught up in a whirlwind romance with none other than Brad Pitt. Yes, that Brad Pitt.

Unfortunately, her Hollywood love story turned out to be more of a B-list scam flick, leaving her heartbroken and, worse, broke.

According to Newsweek and French broadcaster BFM TV, Anne (bless her heart) first received a message from someone claiming to be Pitt’s mom on Facebook back in 2023. Apparently, sliding into DMs is a family affair in this alternate universe. Then, as if on cue from a bad rom-com, "Brad" himself started messaging.

Here’s where things go from bad to absolutely bonkers: Anne was reportedly married to a millionaire when this fake Pitt charmer swept her off her feet. Not only did she fall for the con, but she divorced her rich husband after the scammer proposed. Yup, she traded a real-life millionaire for a digital Brad Pitt knockoff...

And then it gets worse.

The scammer somehow convinced her to send $9,000 to help “process gifts through customs.” Apparently, imaginary customs fees are quite steep. But the real jaw dropper? He used AI-generated images and videos of a 61 year old Brad Pitt “in a hospital bed” to fake a battle with cancer, and it worked.

Anne drained nearly all her divorce settlement funds, hundreds of thousands of dollars, to help with the so called treatment.

Either these scammers are getting smarter, or society is getting a whole lot dumber!

Here are the AI generated images sent to Anne..
