We've seen Abraham Lincoln battle vampires but are you ready for Jesus Christ fighting zombies? In Fist of Jesus, the son of God takes on the zombie hordes with kick ass results. It's a Spanish short directed by Adrián Cardona and David Muñoz that tells a tale you won't find in your grandma's Bible. When Jesus brings his friend Lazarus back from the dead he returns as a flesh eating zombie. It is then up to Jesus and Judas to clean up the town and kick some zombie ass. The movie's script is very tight and not a frame is wasted. It's only 15 minutes long, but really, that's enough. This premise can't really sustain itself much longer than that.
On first sight this might seem really blasphemous. But it kind of makes sense, if you think about it. Jesus battle demons and was the original exorcist. His story is rife with horror possibilities. I wonder what happens to his zombie fighting abilities when he himself becomes undead? I guess I'll just have to wait for the sequel.
