The trend of bringing superheroes to the small screen is not only continuing, it's actually ramping up. The Gifted is the latest Marvel TV series, though it resides on the X-Men end of the spectrum rather than the Avengers end. Like FX's Legion, it's about mutants, but unlike that series, this one's being directed by Bryan Singer, the guy responsible for first bringing the X-Men to the big screen.
While this is only a teaser for a full look at the series due out next week, it does give us a taste of what to expect from the show. Here's everything we know so far: Matt Nix, who created Burn Notice, wrote the pilot and will be the showrunner. It stars Stephen Moyer (True Blood) and Amy Acker (Person of Interest) as mutants who are parents to an extremely powerful young mutant in world where mutants live mostly underground. We also know that Jamie Chung is reprising her role as Blink from X-Men: Days of Future Past, but beyond that we haven't got much to go on.
We'll bring you the full trailer when it drops next week, but in the meantime let us know in the comments section below if you're excited for this show or are suffering from superhero fatigue!
